Your trip in Madagascar

«Air Madagascar» flight reach Tulear, where we sail one week to join Morombe. Here is the land of “Vezo” ethnic nomadic fishermen who travel by outrigger canoes. Their existence is closely linked to the sea and their social and cultural features are exciting, some are true nomads of the seas, the other remaining fishermen have settled. For Vezo, the sea, that’s life itself. The sea provides all existence Vezo, and all they lack is provided by inland villages with which they trade. For the Vezo, a outrigger canoe (lakana) is both a tool for eating, a means of transportation and nomads tent (sailing and matt shaped Tepee). The Vezo canoe carved from a tree trunk light fibers, has a square sail and a single pendulum which indicates the origin of Indonesian ethnicity. The route follows the lagoon, protected from the big waves of the sea. It stretches over 200 km of our trip and allows gloting navigation! Festival coral, fish, canoe and meetings all happy!
